Page Charges
The Journal of International Medical Research is published on a page charge basis. Please ensure that you have funds available when submitting your article. The current rate is available on application to the Publisher.

Scientific Acceptance Criteria
All articles submitted for publication are peer reviewed. In addition, The Journal of International Medical Research has recently reviewed its scientific criteria for manuscript acceptance.

Submitted articles will only be considered for publication if they:

• Demonstrate strong evidence of clinical applicability and are scientifically robust.
• Are highly appropriate for an international general medical readership.
• Have a comprehensive reference list.

Most Case Reports that are submitted to the journal are rejected. Case Reports will only be considered if they are of general interest rather than specialist interest. They must also be likely to change routine clinical practice in some meaningful way. Rarity alone is not an appropriate criterion for acceptance. Retrospective Case Record Analyses are discouraged and unlikely to be accepted.

Before submitting your article, please consider the above points carefully in terms of assessing whether it is suitable for submission.

In additional, all studies should have the approval of a relevant ethics committee. Patients should have given written informed consent and animal experiments should conform to standard animal treatment guidelines. Details of these requirements must be clearly stated in the Methods section.

Checks Prior to Manuscript Submission
Submission of manuscripts can be made by e-mail, via this website or on disk in any format which is PC or MAC compatible. If submitting on disk please include a print out and ensure you include any illustrations.

Before sending it to us please check the following:

• That funds are available to pay the publication page charges and that you state this in the covering letter.
• Your article meets the journal’s strict scientific acceptance criteria. It may be helpful to state in the covering letter how your manuscript achieves this.
• This manuscript has been prepared as indicated in the Notes for Contributors-Regular Issues.
• This manuscript is your original work (and that of your co-authors).
• Your co-authors are aware of this manuscript, and agree with and have approved its content and its submission to The Journal of International Medical Research.
• This manuscript is not currently being considered for publication elsewhere.
• This manuscript has not previously been published.
• Permissions to use any material reproduced from another source have been obtained for publication in all languages and all publishing media, including print and digital/electronic formats.
• A Publishing Agreement Form has been signed by all authors and is being sent to the journal. If the journal does not receive one they will send one to me for author(s) signature.
• You have clearly stated on the manuscript that this article is being submitted for publication in The Journal of International Medical Research.
• You have kept a copy of the final version of your manuscript.
• If submitting by e-mail you have included all figures/illustrations.
• If submitting on disk you have included a full print out and all figures/illustrations.
